About Me

Curious, disciplined, and drawn to how systems work.

I am Alson To Din Kwan, a Polytechnic Year 1 student pursuing a Diploma in Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics.

My interest in mathematics, science, and technology has shaped how I learn: I like breaking down difficult problems, testing ideas, and understanding the logic behind modern systems. That mindset now drives my growth in cybersecurity, applied AI, and real-world problem solving.

Student Involvement

Contributing across communities beyond the classroom

01

School of Computing (SOC) Club Events Subcommittee

Supported events that bring students together and helped create meaningful experiences for the School of Computing community.

02

School of Computing (SOC) Ambassador Events Subcommittee

Supported ambassador events while engaging with prospective students, parents, and visitors as a representative of the School of Computing.

03

Singapore Polytechnic AI (SPAI) Events Subcommittee

Contributed to AI-focused workshops and events while learning from peers with similar interest in emerging technologies.

04

SP Gryphons Cybersecurity Events Subcommittee

Organized hands-on cyber workshops and Capture-the-Flag (CTF) challenges to build practical skills and grow a strong cybersecurity community.

Contributing across School of Computing events, Singapore Polytechnic AI, and SP Gryphons has helped me grow beyond academics by building confidence, communication skills, and a wider student network.

Leadership

Leading by showing up consistently.

Leadership, to me, is about setting the right example, helping people stay focused, and keeping the team moving even when training, school, or events become demanding.

“A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.”John C. Maxwell
Role: 2024-2025

Dragon Boat vice captain

I led warm-ups, supported training coordination, and encouraged teammates during competitions. Working in close synchronization strengthened my resilience, communication, and ability to stay calm under pressure.

Role: 2023-2024

Class committee member

I helped with class duties, shared feedback with teachers, and supported class events. This made me more responsible, considerate, and comfortable speaking up.

Student Leadership Camp 2024

Leading through pressure

A group obstacle course taught me to stay calm, listen, build trust, and guide a team without simply giving orders.
